Kill Bill Quickie Review
Written October 6, 2003
Kill Bill is quite simply a story about betrayal and revenge – bloody, bloody revenge that never ends and results in triple-digit body counts. Tarantino’s cinematography is breathtaking as usual and Uma Thurman is surprisingly good as a femme fatal, addressing such pressing issues as how guys who screw comatose chicks should be properly punished. The gore level is through the roof, particularly in the film’s well-placed Japanese anime-style sequence. I am now terrified of cute young Asian schoolgirls and their evil ways. Although the violence is often interjected with dry humour and situational comedy, you’ll still leave Kill Bill thinking “For some reason, I feel the need to get a samurai sword and slice up some motherfuckers!”
We got advance tickets to go see Tarentino's Kill Bill so I felt that it was only right that we give it some coverage (also because it was an awesome movie). I forced most everyone who went to give me a 100 word summary of the flick so that we could print a diversity of opinion. Here's my breakdown. Note the completely unnecessary swearing.
